Florida Keys Real Estate Update - May 30 to June 5th, 2011

Things are starting to slow down a bit here in the Florida Keys. Fewer people are in restaurants and bars, the roads are less crowded and the kids are almost out of school.

The real estate market is also slowing a bit over the last few weeks, but properties that are priced right are still selling.

This past week we had 20 new listings enter the market, 14 properties go under contract and 18 closed sales.

New Listing - Offered at $2,225,000
Among the new listings, one of my favorite homes is back on the market. The home is located directly on Florida Bay in Tavernier Harbor on a quiet street. Features include 3 bedrooms, 4.5 baths, screened swimming pool, large poolside entertaining deck and private master suite. It is offered at $2,225,000.

Pending Sale - listed at $264,900

Pending sales include a home on Coconut Row that has been under contract previously.  This unique three story home has three bedrooms - all with private baths, and is located on a shady, landscaped lot. An impressive wooden spiral staircase serves as a focal point for the home. Rooftop, there is a widows walk with panoramic views of the ocean and the bay. It is listed at $264,900.

Sold listing - sold for $619,000

Sold homes include a very nice home in Port Antigua, one of the premier waterfront communities in Islamorada. This 3 bedroom 2 bath home is located on a large 75 x 100 lot, providing ample dockage. This community also features one of the nicest beaches in the Upper Keys and has picnic areas and community boat ramp. It was listed for $699,000 and sold for $619,000.
